I am a Research Scientist at Bytedance Seed. My research focuses on Spatial AI, world models, and multimodal models. I am broadly interested in how AI systems can develop genuine spatial intelligence — perceiving 3D structure, reasoning about spatial relationships, and simulating how the world evolves. Previously, I was a postdoctoral researcher at MBZUAI working with Prof. Ian Reid, and at the University of Oxford working with Prof. Philip Torr. I received my Ph.D. from the University of Adelaide in 2022, supervised by Prof. Ian Reid and Prof. Chunhua Shen, and my B.Eng. from Nankai University in 2016, supervised by Prof. Ming-Ming Cheng.
