I am a Research Scientist at Bytedance Seed. My research focuses on spatial intelligence — enabling AI to perceive, understand, and interact with the physical world. Previously, I was a postdoctoral researcher at MBZUAI and at the University of Oxford. I received my Ph.D. from the University of Adelaide in 2022, supervised by Prof. Ian Reid and Prof. Chunhua Shen, and my B.Eng. from Nankai University in 2016, supervised by Prof. Ming-Ming Cheng.
Update: I will join Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in May 2026 as a Nanyang Assistant Professor (Tenure-track) and NRF AI Fellow, where I will lead the Spatial Intelligence Lab — building machines that can reconstruct, generate, understand, and interact with the physical world. I am looking for self-motivated PhD students, Postdocs, RAs, and Visiting Students to join my group. Feel free to email me your CV.
